I think you can instantly tell what a person is like by there shoes it does come down to preference but you do get a good idea. Its a great book that shows how art influences shoes and shoes influence art and before i decided to go into animation i wanted to be a shoe designer. True Story.

What attracted me to this rather than the other scripts was the importance of the sea. With its power and control in my eyes its the most important character. I was really happy with this but handed it in late so only received a pass for this assignment but i only had myself to blame.
The project brief was to create a storyboard for a short script we had been given. It had to be between 20 - 25 indivdual boards in total. Intial Ideas.
One of thee best weeks of my life. Gaming is something i've loved since i was a kid so the opportunity to go to BAF Game was incredible. A highlight would being seeing the concept development behind Brink by Splash Damage, they not only showed us a preveiw of the game but also gave us a better understanding of what it takes to be a conept artist and throughout many of the lectures throughout BAF they referred to the importance of observational drawing. I really got to know all the guys on my course and there was even talk of starting up our own studio after the course. Rita & Chico, The Illlusionist and Metropia all blow me away and seeing the work of students and other lesser known animators makes me want to work harder and produce my own visions. Another highlight would have to be Spike & Mike showcase....
Also, Paul Mendoza (Pixar), Paul Franklin (Inception) and Tim Searle (have i got some clips for you) were pretty good aswell.
