Flash Audio & Lip-Sync Project; Initial Concept

Using Flash as your animation tool, i must produce a short character based animation that characterises some sound that i have recorded. The animation will be around 30-45 seconds.

I went out last Thursday night and asked some random strangers "What thought about Falmouth", it was a student night and it produced alot of great characters, and i've looked some Graffiti artist and these are what i came up with. The Final drawing is of 'Ben & Will' my final two characters. Both are HIGH and Ben is an Alien.

3D Enviorment Project

These are some photos i have taken of the Cafe i wish to create in Maya. I will produce 3 fully rendered images along with supporting sketchbook and any other development work. I have struggled to use computers in the past but as i spend more working with them i have become more confident once i have gotten passed all the settings and controls. Im looking forward to seeing how i get on with it.

Experimental Project

Aim is to produce a 50 second animation to a peice of music using a single or variety of alternative animation techniques. Computers are not to be used until the final film editing stage.

We've looked at alot of different techniques but the first that got my interest was 'Scartch' animation. Although its really old-school i think its looks good. I like the whole idea of experimental animation that there is no need for any narrative and only the indiviual can create meaning which what im really interested in. These are a few images iv found that are the direction of how i want it to look. Am also going to look into 8 - 16 bit retro gaming.

All images were sourced from 'Architectural Design' magazine.

Miscelanious 2

Im influenced by alot of Graffiti Art which in some ways is good but also bad as it can become generic and repeatitive. these are a mixture of styles that i've tried but i know that might not be some peoples cup of tea. But i like it all.

Journal

I was first introduced to using a journal when i was at College, to collect my thoughts, ideas and continually evaluate my work. Istruggled to do it in the begining but since i have been at university i have used it more and more, These are a few pages of it I hope it gives you an idea of how i like to work.

Life Drawing 3

Really pleased with this, im happy with the proportions and shading although i always struggle with the head i decided to quickly do it seperately and rather than draw the outline of the face i focused on the light and dark under the chin and on the top of the cheek which seemed to work well for me.
